I asked one of our transitioning students Cory Cook various questions about his transition and how he felt about it , here is what he said:
Q: What school are you transitioning to?
A: I transition to Moreno Valley High School.
Q:How are you taking the transition?
A: I think that transitioning to MVHS is a good experience, I get to meet new people and unfamiliar faces.
Q: What classes are you taking there?
A: I take ROTC weapons and ROTC Areospace.
Q: Are you adjusting well to your new teachers?
A: My teachers and I have a close bond, I know what they expect from me and what I should be doing.
Q: Do you like the classes you are taking?
A: I do like the classes I am taking , I get to march and do pushups. Basiclly do the things I like . Its like the beginning of a new stage in my life.
Q: Are you comfortable at your new school?
A: Yes, I'm really comfortable at MVHS , because I hang out with the right croud , stay out of trouble and focus on ROTC.
Q: How about your peers? Are you getting along with them?
A: I get along with my peers, they have a good sense of humor like me.
Q: Was transitioning to another school half time a goal of yours?
A: Yes , transitioning to another school half time was a goal, I actually wanted to go full time but I'm very grateful for being at MVHS for two periods.
